REVYSO

Cookie Policy

Updated on October 13, 2026.

Every cookie and storage item Revyso uses, one by one — and why there is no banner asking permission.

1.The short version

We use no advertising cookies, no tracking cookies and no analytics. Nothing here follows you across other sites. Everything we store in your browser is either necessary for the service to work or remembers a preference you set.

2.Exactly what we store

This is the complete list. If it ever grows, this page changes with it.

  • revyso-locale (cookie, 1 year) — the language you chose. It is a cookie rather than local storage because the server needs to know the language to send the page already translated. Without it, every visit would fall back to the language your network address suggests.
  • sb-…-auth-token (local storage) — your session, created by Supabase Auth when you sign in. It is what keeps you logged in; clearing it signs you out.
  • revyso-theme (local storage) — light or dark theme.
  • revyso-a11y (local storage) — your accessibility preferences.
  • revyso:upgrade-nudge-dismissed (local storage) — remembers that you dismissed the upgrade notice, so it stops coming back.

3.Necessary versus non-essential

The first two are strictly necessary: without them there is no session and no page in the right language. The last three are preferences — they collect nothing about you, they just hold a choice you made, in your own browser.

None of them is used to build a profile, measure an audience or advertise.

4.Why there is no consent banner

European cookie rules require prior consent for storage that is not strictly necessary to the service the user asked for — typically analytics and advertising. Since we use neither, there is nothing to consent to.

A banner asking permission for nothing protects nobody: it trains people to click "accept" without reading, and that reflex is exactly what makes the banners that matter useless. So we tell you instead of asking you.

The day the service starts using analytics or anything non-essential, a banner with a real refusal option will appear before anything loads — and this page will say what it is.

5.How to clear it

Every browser can clear a site's cookies and local storage from its privacy settings. Clearing signs you out and resets preferences to their defaults; none of your study content is lost, because that lives on the server, attached to your account.

6.Third-party cookies

The payment checkout is opened by Paddle and runs on their domain, with their cookies — necessary for the transaction. That only happens when you open the checkout, and the policy that applies at that moment is Paddle's.
